Artist Statement:
"My relationship with art is always in flux, if there is one thing that remains true it is being an artist helps me in so many ways. It allows me to understand the world around me. To play and discover the complexities therein. To flex my ability to accept and challenge the ideas society deems too mysterious, or dangerous. I know without the ability to live my life with artist eyes, senses and hands I would have become hopelessly lost years ago... and for that... I fully know there is a strength that can be found in the arts that is a sacred privilege to grasp. It is essential to note that it takes just as much strength after discovering these truths as it does to share and lay bare your own torn and battered heart."

Bio:
Adapting to many situations requires a level of spontaneity, a skill Meisa Chase is capable of. She works as an artist, seamstress, cultural architect and a horsewoman and has done so in many diverse places across America. Her dynamic life allows for an outlook on both humanity and culture that often reveal its idiosyncrasies and these are the moments that delight. She is dedicated to the arts most of the time, horses as much as she can find the time and dabbles as a D.J. the rest of the time. Meisa Chase currently resides in Lancaster Pa. and keeps a studio at the MakeSpace in Harrisburg, Pa.
